What Happens In My Shower Isn't Staying In My Shower

So, I am in the shower this morning thinking about my life--just where it's going (no where at the moment) and what I want to do with it (the list is endless) and had a tiny thought.  I had just hung up with my daughter Lindsay who called to tell me that at that very moment she was walking along the Champs Elysee and wished that I was with her.  We chatted for a bit and since I am more familiar with the lay of the land in Paris, I was able to direct her to things that would be open on a Sunday--not much--but helped her eek out a productive day.  In the shower is where everything hit me....

I miss Paris (actually, I already knew that) and writing about it daily as I did when I was blogging for The Paris Traveler and know in my heart that I want this blog to be similar--sort of a what to do, where to go, little bits of this and that will take all of us back to my favorite city, bringing it to life on a daily basis.

As a result of my tiny thought, I have decided to take paris et cie in a different direction.  It is going to become a daily tidbit on all things Parisian.  And since it is my blog, I am giving myself permission to take liberties in the definition of "Parisian".  It could be a favorite place I have spent time at or an unforgettable meal and where one should go to have it.  Or perhaps, a shop dedicated to indulging every sense we have or an artist that has left his or her mark on our world.  So many moments came back to me today as I was talking to my daughter and I realized that this is one of the roads that I must go down.  I hope you have some comfy shoes (or like me, are wearing stilettos) and join me as we wind our way through the city that I love so much.

Look for the change in a few days!!

I have neither, thank you very much. As Rod Stewart once sang: some guys have all the luck!
